Congrats on the mixer, I have been with mine for 10 years now and am still deeply in love with it.
Laura's chocolate cherry cookies? OMG how freaking delicious were those? I hate cherry with chocolate and I loved them. WTF?
Oh, and if you're a carnivore, the dough hook on your mixer is awesome for stirring like meatloaf so you don't have to get that crap all over your hands.
Ok I better go do that Santa thing. Whee.

I have a red Kitchen Aid mixer, too! And I love it. It's verrrry good for mashed potatoes. Be sure to warm the metal bowl first with the potato water (as you are draining the boiled potatoes).
I, like Nicole, have to do the Santa thing. My boy is nine, and although he is excited about Christmas morning, I might be *more* excited. I love to see my husband and my son open their presents!
Merry Christmakwanzukkah Solstice, beloved podcasters!

I used my red Kitchen-aid for Christmas Eve.
I made yummy Monkey Bread from William-Sonoma with my Monkey Bread Mold/Pan – the perfect treat while we opened presents.
Hmmmm – Monkey Bread. Maybe a future topic?
Happy Holidays everyone!
